Wakamow Valley

Crescent Park
Nestled between Fairford & Athabasca Streets, east of Temple gardens Mineral Spa, this "Jewel of the Prairies" encompasses twenty-eight acres of winding pathways, gorgeous flowers and green spaces and the Serpentine, home to swans, ducks and geese. It houses an outdoor pool, waterpark, tennis and lawn bowling clubs, YM/YWCA, public library, art museum and outdoor amphitheatre.

Hillcrest Sports Centre Golf Course
Open annually from April 15 to October 15, the Hillcrest Sports Center Golf Course is a favourite golf destination for those seeking a challenging 18-hole golf course in southern Saskatchewan.
Totaling 6400 yards from the back tees, the course holes play in and out of the creek valley providing many challenging elevation changes. The course tests golfers in many ways, usually requiring the use of every club in the bag.

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park
The 1,930 hectare park is best known for its free-ranging buffalo in the Qu'Appelle River valley. The park was named for the natural corrals. The Indians stampeded the animals into the buffalo pounds and then killed them for their meat, bones and hides. The buffalo were re-introduced to the Qu'Appelle valley in 1972, and there are now 22 buffalo in the park. The park also has a large outdoor pool, a beach, fishing, boating, mini-golf, and hiking trails. The park is home to the White Track Ski Resort.

Moose Jaw Trolley Company

Moose Jaw Skating Oval at Kiwanas River Park
Only a five minute walk from Wakamow Heights is the outdoor 400 meter skating oval at Kiwanis River Park. The Skating Oval has a heated shelter and is open to the public. A scene from the 2006 hollywood film Just Friends was shot at the Skating Oval.
